1/xxxx Update Annabelle is a healthy, happy 2 year old Australian Shepherd. She is an active, vocal girl who loves to tug and play. Annabelle has a couple of challenges. She has a condition known as exocrine pancreatic insufficiency which means she must have an enzyme power added to all of her meals so she can digest her food. This enzyme costs about $50/month. Without the enzyme Annabelle would starve to death no matter how much food you give her but with the enzyme she can maintain a healthy weight around 45 lbs. The condition doesnt slow her down at all and she is otherwise very healthy.
The biggest challenge with Annabelle is her lack of socialization at an early age. She doesnt trust easily. My husband and I are her only friends. She has become friendly with 2 other people but only likes them on her terms. She becomes very upset during vet visits and must be muzzled. For anything more invasive than getting shots she needs ...
