Antique Tiger Oak Dining Buffet / Sideborard in Knoxville, Tennessee For Sale

Tiger (Quartersawn) Oak Buffet / Sideboard w/ Beveled Mirror Top and Winged Lion Supports. Priced at $xxxx based on a xxxx appraisal.
In very good condition. Needs stops behind the drawers; back panels in center of base have a little separation. Original hardware; locks but no keys. Age unknown, but has been in one family for about 40 years. Mirror is beveled. Paw feet.
Winged lion support posts. Similar side carvings are sometimes misidentified as “Griffins” but that is incorrect. A Griffin has the head and wings of an eagle on the body of a lion. The carvings on my piece are only winged lions, I believe. I have seen others that are similar but none yet that are identical. If you have any knowledge about or other examples of these I would like to hear it.
Dimensions: 48” wide x 23” deep x 64-1/2” high with top on base.
A xxxx appraisal by Knoxville antiques expert Joe Rosson was $xxxx. That appraisal is nearly 10 years old, but the buffet is priced at that amount, for a savings of $338 from inflation and $143 in sales tax.
