Job Code: xxxx Title: Maintenance Tech II Date Posted: 09/25/xxxx Job Type: Contract To Hire Job Location: KNoxville, Tennessee Maintenance Tech II Maintenance Tech II Duties and Responsibilities Read basic mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical prints to perform troubleshooting; Troubleshoot and repair pneumatic and lubrication systems with supervision; Troubleshoot and repair clutch and brake assemblies with supervision; Troubleshoot and repair mechanical drive systems with supervision; Must be a team player with all coworkers; Maintenance welding and cutting using electrode arc welder, MIG welder and oxy/acetylene weld and cutting equipment; Install production and support equipment in conjunction with Engineering and Production guidelines under direct supervision; Inspect equipment condition utilizing established preventative maintenance procedures; Actively participate in and initiate continuous improvement activities to reduce waste Use and maintain necessary documentation such as machine history, PM check sheets work orders and log books; Be able to use basic mechanical equipment and hand tools in the repair of electrical and mechanical equipment; Read any mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, fabrication and electrical prints; Troubleshoot and repair hydraulic circuit components; Troubleshoot electrical control systems; Troubleshoot and repair complex systems without supervision using mechanical/electrical test equipment and/or hand tools; Read, modify, or make changes to mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, fabrication, or electrical prints used to perform job; Install, troubleshoot, and repair basic electrical circuits to NEC standards; Troubleshoot and repair basic logic circuits and devices, including mechanical, infrared, laser, and inductive sensors; Ensure compliance with NEC and OSHA standards; Write basic programs for PLC logic Maintenance Tech II Education and Experience Must be familiar with NEC Electrical standards; Must understand, and abide by all plant safety rules and regulations.
